Hey PeTA…Leave Our Dog Out of Your Propaganda

I couldn’t have said this better myself! I hate BSL laws! Any dog can be trained to be mean .

Ray the Vicktory Dog

“Good for Montreal”.  Those are the first words of an article PeTA posted on their website congratulating Montreal on a job well done.  They talk about spay/neuter, microchipping, and vaccinations and how much they appreciate the measures Montreal has taken to be responsible.  They however fail to address the sheer cruelty of the muzzle requirement. They don’t acknowledge that this law is designed to punish dogs for natural behaviors. They don’t say a word about the portion that penalizes outdoor cats.

But worst of all…the thing that makes my blood boil and makes me see red…they invoke the Vicktory Dogs.  They had the audacity to mention the Vicktory Dogs in their hideous, abhorrent article.

These are dogs that PeTA went to court to try and have euthanized.  They actually petitioned the court, and when the court wouldn’t listen, tried to sue to have the dogs killed.  They called them “ticking…

Recipes I’ve Tried Lately

1st up is a Chicken Bacon Ranch Bake from Easy Peasy Pleasin. This is by far the best recipe I’ve ever tried from Pinterest so I definitely didn’t get tired of the leftovers. I used a rotisserie chicken so it was easier to make.

I used the other half of the rotisserie chicken to make Italian Tortellini Pasta Salad. I accidentally grabbed spinach and ricotta filled ravioli but it was still delicious!!!!

I don’t have a picture of the next recipe I tried, which was onion and mayo porkchops. The recipe said to bake them for 25 min but I used bone in porkchops, which apparently makes a difference. I had to cook mine longer because they weren’t quite done at 25 min but it was very good.

Last but not least I tried Healthy Protein Waffles from Damn Delicious. I was skeptical on how good these were going to be with cottage cheese in them but they were really good! It made plenty so I had breakfast for the whole week, which is definitely a great thing! They definitely kept me full until lunch time. I topped mine with some Mississippi made pure cane syrup 😋

Products I Like

I never knew a beauty blender existed until I received an e-mail from tarte. I didn’t want to pay $16 so I ended up finding one at Target for $5 and so far I really like it. I feel like my under eye concealer looks too caked on when I put it on with my fingers but it looks much better using my new beauty blender.

My other awesome Target purchase was cherry scented Batiste dry shampoo. I don’t like how it flaked but that is really the only bad thing I can say about this product. I like the cherry smell and I can actually run my fingers through my hair without that funky dry shampoo feeling. It’s a little expensive for the size of the can but it is well worth it.

Mexican Beef Tator Tot Casserole & Adult Root Beer Float

The Mexican Beef Tator Tot Recipe is definitely going to be a new staple for me! It was super easy and super delicious! Next time I’m going to cut the red bell pepper into smaller pieces. I added guacamole and sour cream as my toppings.

My cousin told me about making an adult root beer float using Not Your Father’s Root Beer so I had to try it! I kept sipping on the root beer and I finally had to pour it over the vanilla ice cream before there wasn’t any left ha. It tastes exactly like root beer and I actually couldn’t taste the alcohol flavor until I mixed it with the ice cream. Definitely going to make more of these as well.

Sorry I slacked off on posting again so I’m going to give you some highlights!

Phoebe’s 5th Birthday was May 28th and she racked up on presents. I felt guilty buying her treats and toys that she would have to wait for so I had to buy her a just because present lol.

Memorial Day:

I attempted to start walking Phoebe again and she ended up having an allergic reaction to grass I think….thank goodness for Benadryl and itch relief shampoo!! It cleared up after a couple of days and we haven’t had any problems since.

I got some Bob’s by Schechers shoes that have pugs on them and they donate some of the proceeds to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah so it’s a win win!

My co-worker drew me a picture of Mel the Pug from Secret Life of Pets. I can’t wait to see it!

Phoebe and I went to the Secret Life of Pets Event at Petsmart, which was dissapointing because they didn’t have any Mel stuff 😦 Phoebe got some new collars and a new life jacket, which barely fits so she is going to have to lose some weight.

I found a Pug Doodle Book with stickers and a Secret Life of Pets lunch box!

We went to my family reunion for the 4th of July and Phoebe was very patriotic for about 5 min then she got muddy lol. It was hot and my Dad had to pull 3 ticks off of Phoebe but overall we had a great time.
