Phoebe played fetch while I enjoyed my morning coffee on the patio.
I know she’s done playing when she heads for the door.
Phoebe thought I was going walking by myself so she went to her kennel.
So she was really excited when she discovered that she was going too.
That is until she saw her harness.
She enjoyed the walk especially when she got to play in the water puddle.
We ended up walking 1.82 miles because let’s face it we could both use the exercise. Phoebe was so exhausted afterwards .
To exhausted to even hover while I was cooking!
I started making Lemon Blueberry Overnight French Toast.
This is the recipe and as you can see I have the measurements for half of the recipe.
I don’t need to feed an army so I’ve started making half of recipes and some I should make a third of like this next recipe: Hot Jalapeño Corn Dip
I actually used cream style sweet corn and sliced jalapeños from a jar because that’s what I had on hand.
When Phoebe doesn’t sunbathe outside she likes to sunbathe on her mat.
The rest of the day Phoebe was pretty lazy. She enjoyed her bone and we watched critters outside.
I made it to the library in time to drop
off a book and picked up two more books. I’m currently reading “Revelations” the third book in the Blue Bloods Series by Melissa De La Cruz.
As soon as I wash the blankets that go on the couch Phoebe has to lay on them so they smell normal again I guess.
The French toast was done soaking so I started baking it and I made the sauce that goes with it.
The French toast was good but the sauce was ok. I think I would prefer it with just syrup but I’m going to give the sauce another chance.
I also tried a new drink…pinnacle whipped cream vodka and cran-grape juice. It tastes like a purple skittle.
